Purchased at Brack in mid-Mai 2026, under warranty, the lens was used on a few occasions only and is in mint condition (see pictures). It comes in the original packaging with all accessories and an invoice copy.
 
A fantastic standard zoom, in overdrive at the wide end, the Sony FE 20-70mm G is an extremely versatile, very sharp and snappy all-purpose lens, quite compact and lightweight considering its focal range, that takes great pictures and that I only part with with regret. (But, as a senior, I need to restrain the weight of my kit …)

Overall, this very gifted hybrid lens, as talented for photos as it is for videos is pretty good value for money:

For photography, the angle of view at 20mm greatly enhances the usability of the lens and makes it suitable for architecture, interior shots, wide landscape shots, on top of the usual uses of a standard zoom. Moreover, the lens shows unusual macro reproduction capabilities for a ‘standard’ zoom: 1:2.5 at 70mm.

With its enhanced range and ideal focal length (20mm) for vlogging, constant aperture across the range, minimal focus-breathing, video-centric physical controls, close-focus capabilities (25cm at the telephoto end) and parfocalness, coupled with the current Sony bodies’ native optimization (focus-breathing & AF), the lens is best suited for videography and hybrid uses and, as such, a content creator’s lens of choice.
