Nick is obsessed with Erebos, a computer game that is passed around at his school from hand to hand. The rules are extremely strict: everyone gets only one chance to play Erebos. He has to be alone at all times and is not allowed to talk about Erebos with anyone. Anyone who breaks the rules or fails to carry out his tasks is kicked out and can no longer start the game. But what is most strange is that Erebos gives orders that have to be carried out in the real world. And then the game tells Nick to kill a human being.
