*RARITY / VINTAGE: Givenchy III Vintage Eau de Toilette 120 ml – original formula, still factory-sealed (discontinued)*

Like a garden at dusk, shortly after the rain, when damp greenery and crushed leaves linger in the air: Givenchy III is an old-school green chypre – bitter, upright and dry. It opens bitter-green with galbanum and hyacinth, unfolds into a floral heart of rose, jasmine and iris, and dries down to a mossy, leathery base of oakmoss and vetiver.

Givenchy is one of the great French houses, founded by Hubert de Givenchy. Givenchy III was launched in 1970 and belongs to the generation of green chypres that defined that era – an olfactory family that has practically disappeared today, as oakmoss and galbanum are rarely used in this form anymore.

This is the old original formula from the 1980s, not the weaker later reissue – identifiable by ref. 3246 and the “90°” marking. The bottle is still factory-sealed: untouched, in the original formula and in a size (120 ml) that is now rarely found sealed in vintage condition. A true collector’s item.
