This historic folding chair probably dates from the first half of the 20th century and, in its construction, corresponds to classic theatre, auditorium and event seating from that period. Comparable models from the 1930s and 1940s were made entirely of wood and used for flexible seating arrangements thanks to their space-saving folding construction. 

The chair has a slender, functional wooden frame with a high backrest that is slightly inclined backwards. The seat consists of several individual wooden slats, while the backrest is finished with a wide, slightly curved wooden board. Joints and braces connect the individual elements and allow the chair to be folded compactly.

Condition: The chair is in authentic vintage condition with clear signs of age- and use-related wear. The wood shows pronounced patina, discolouration, scratches and abrasion. These marks underline the original character and long history of use of the piece.
