This striking vintage bathroom cabinet, model “Spluga”, was manufactured in Italy by Carrara & Matta in the 1960s. The cabinet is made entirely of plastic and is particularly distinguished by its vivid orange colour and clear, compact form.

The front consists of two doors, enlivened in the centre by the horizontally ribbed structure. 
Two small metal locks create an attractive contrast with the orange plastic. Both doors can be locked separately, and the corresponding keys are included.

Inside, the cabinet is divided into several compartments and shelves and offers good storage space despite its compact size. 
The fittings for wall mounting are located on the back. 

The cabinet can be used traditionally as a bathroom or medicine cabinet, but also as a small storage unit.

Carrara & Matta was an Italian manufacturer that became known for its colourful plastic furniture and bathroom equipment. The vivid colouring and reduced form make the “Spluga” a typical example of 1960s Italian design with influences from the Space Age style.

Condition:
Good vintage condition with signs of wear related to age and use. The plastic surfaces show light scratches and minor marks. The interior compartments and both keys are present. Overall, the cabinet is well preserved for its age.
