Characterful mid-century teak chest of drawers from the 1950s, featuring warm-toned wood veneer and a delicate black-painted metal frame. The clear, functional design combines a compact cabinet body with an open upper shelf and is typical of post-war European design. The cabinet has two wide drawers with distinctive square black metal handles. Above them is an open storage shelf, while a second, higher-set panel is supported by slender metal struts. This gives the piece a light, almost floating appearance. The black-painted square-tube metal frame forms both the legs and the side construction of the upper shelf. Combined with the warm wood, it creates an attractive contrast between functional metal architecture and inviting wooden surfaces. Condition: The furniture is in authentic vintage condition. Age-related scratches, abrasion, minor knocks and some veneer losses on the edges are visible. These signs of use particularly emphasise the original character of the piece.
