Striking vintage table lamp by the Belgian manufacturer Massive, with the original identification plate on the underside of the base. The combination of shiny metal, a slender column and the eye-catching red and dark blue marble pattern gives the lamp a highly decorative character somewhere between Art Deco revival, retro and postmodern design.

Particularly distinctive is the large conical lampshade with its finely curved pattern reminiscent of marbled paper, in shades of red, Bordeaux, blue and gold. The same decoration is also found on the slender central section of the lamp base, creating a harmonious overall appearance. The flat, shiny metal base and the chrome-plated details provide an elegant contrast.

When switched on, the lamp produces pleasantly warm, atmospheric light. The inside of the shade is light-coloured, allowing the light to shine softly downwards and slightly through the upper opening. A practical cord switch is located on the black power cable.

Condition:
Good used vintage condition with age-related signs of wear. The metal surfaces show light scratches and fine surface marks. The lampshade has some minor age-related marks on the edges and at the upper finish, but is overall well preserved.
