Expressive, sculptural crystal glass bowl in an organic freeform design, from the production of Art Vannes France / Vannes-le-Châtel dating from the 1960s.

The heavy, clear glass was drawn into a dynamic, widely splayed form. Two long lateral points resemble wings or wave crests, while in the centre two tall, curved glass elements rise almost circularly towards each other.

Depending on the viewing angle, the object appears like an abstract bird in flight, a wave or a futuristic glass sculpture.

The strong refraction of light in the solid glass body is particularly appealing. The thicker sections in the centre create striking distortions and reflections, while the laterally extended areas appear surprisingly light and elegant. As a result, the piece functions not only as a bowl or centrepiece, but equally as a decorative glass sculpture.

Condition:
The overall condition appears very good and well maintained. Minor age- and use-related surface marks are possible with a vintage glass object of this kind.
