This generous chest of drawers, Model Edelweiss, comes from the manufacturer Kehr of Augsburg‑Göggingen, made in Gütersloh (Germany), like the previously shown piece. It represents the characteristic style of the late 1950s to early 1960s, when light and dark veneers, elegant lines and chrome accents defined interior design. The piece combines light maple veneer with a dark, almost black walnut tone and features the period‑typical vertical decorative lines in an ivory look. The construction is clearly structured: the upper section has three doors, including a glazed central compartment with a glass shelf – ideal for displaying dishes or decorative objects. The two outer sections have dark, high‑gloss lacquered doors with fine linear ornamentation. The lower part consists of four drawers with tapered chrome handles, providing additional storage. The piece stands on tapered, black‑lacquered legs with brass feet, giving the body lightness and lending the design an Italianate character. The craftsmanship and original fittings indicate quality work from German mass production of the post‑war era – contemporaneous with brands such as Wohnbedarf, Musterring or Wilkhahn. Condition: Good, well‑kept original condition with age‑related patina. Minor scratches, slight veneer irregularities and minimal edge wear, especially on corners and panel ends. One corner shows a visible impact mark that does not affect stability. The doors open perfectly, the drawers are clean and functional. Overall a very decorative, authentic piece of mid‑century furniture culture with original character and elegant presence. Dimensions: L215.5 x D48 x H153 cm
