Elegant vintage armchair by Knoll International, probably dating from the mid-1970s. The original manufacturer’s label on the underside clearly identifies the chair as Swiss production by Knoll International. The handwritten marking “12075” has also been preserved; however, it does not allow an exact date to be established beyond doubt.

The design is characterised by its organically shaped, fully upholstered seat shell. The backrest flows seamlessly into the side armrests and lightly encloses the seat, creating a comfortable, almost lounge-chair-like seating position. An opening between the seat and back visually lightens the compact form.

The chair is upholstered in a finely textured, two-tone woven fabric in dark brown and warm beige tones. The mottled surface gives the piece particularly attractive depth and a typically homely 1970s character. The delicate four-legged base made of chromed tubular steel, with slightly splayed legs, creates an appealing contrast to the soft upholstery.


Condition:
Good vintage condition with age-related signs of use. The original textured fabric has a beautiful, authentic patina and is generally well maintained. The chromed tubular steel frame is well preserved and shows only minor age-appropriate marks. Due to its age, the original upholstery is no longer optimal and has lost some of its resilience and comfort over the years. For long-term use and renewed full seating comfort, we therefore recommend having the upholstery replaced.
