Decorative vintage ceramic vase in a rustic folk-art style with hand-painted floral decoration. The bulbous shape, narrow neck and strongly waved rim give the piece a particularly characterful, handcrafted appearance.

The base colour is a warm cream to ochre yellow with a speckled surface. It features a striking floral decoration with red blossoms, green leaves, black swirls and turquoise accents. Dark brown and orange lines visually frame the neck, shoulder and foot. The inside is glazed in a warm brown tone.

The widely flared, wave-shaped rim is particularly beautiful. Together with the irregular painting and visible traces of craftsmanship, it creates the typical character of traditional, handmade ceramics. Stylistically, the vase is reminiscent of Mediterranean or southern European majolica and faience pieces, but also of Eastern European folk ceramics. Without a mark, however, it is not possible to attribute it with certainty to a specific region or pottery.

Condition: 
The overall condition is good and authentically vintage. The glaze and painted decoration show age-related traces, minor irregularities, abrasion and typical craquelure/patina effects.
