Characterful vintage ceramic vase made in Germany. The compact, urn-like form with a flared foot and wide rim is complemented by two sculpted, curved handles, giving the vase a particularly decorative, almost sculptural appearance.

The glossy turquoise, brown and dark burgundy-brown gradient glaze is particularly appealing. The glaze flows vividly over the bulbous body and accentuates the turning grooves and sculptural details. The colour scheme and formal language are characteristic of decorative West German ceramics from the Mid-Century period.

Condition: Good used vintage condition with age-related signs of wear. A small glaze chip or knock is visible on the upper rim.
