Striking five-arm candlestick made of glazed ceramic, presumably by Jasba Keramik, Germany. With its exceptional, organically curved form and characteristic brown-grey marbled glaze, it is a decorative example of the sculptural ceramic art of the West German pottery era. The five candle sockets are arranged at different heights and connected by flowing, intertwined ceramic arms. The almost tree-like branching structure rises from a broad, oval base. The plastically modelled forms give the candlestick a dynamic, almost abstract appearance. The glossy flowing glaze, with its vivid colour transitions in dark brown, grey-brown, cream and occasional slightly greenish nuances, is particularly appealing. The irregular shading emphasises the curved contours and makes the candlestick an independent design object even without candles.
