Distinctive small vintage wooden stool or side table with a bold red-orange lacquer finish. The clear, minimalist construction with four slightly splayed legs and a square seat or tabletop is reminiscent of functional school, workshop or utility furniture from the 1970s.

The top is firmly attached to the base and has a round opening in the centre. Visible screw or fastening points, the simple frame construction and the tapered legs emphasise the piece’s sober, practical character. Small dark floor glides or end caps are fitted to the ends of the legs.

The original or older lacquered surface with clearly visible patina is particularly attractive. Small chips, scratches, pressure marks and wear on the edges and corners give the piece an authentic vintage and industrial character. The wood grain remains slightly visible beneath the paint in certain areas.
