Exceptional Swiss designer armchair with matching ottoman by Heinrich Pfalzberger, made of chrome-plated tubular steel and light-coloured leather. The design combines the clear constructive language of classic tubular-steel furniture with an exceptionally comfortable, relaxed sitting position. 

The frame consists of continuously curved chrome-plated tubular steel. The generous runners simultaneously form the base, side sections and armrests, giving the armchair its light, almost floating appearance. The seat and back are designed as flexible upholstery and covered with light-coloured leather.

The high backrest can be adjusted in its inclination and allows for a relaxed lounge or resting position. A generous cylindrical neck roll completes the ergonomic design. The accompanying ottoman adopts the same formal language with a chrome-plated cantilever frame and slightly sagging leather upholstery. A comparable Pfalzberger model is also explicitly described in Swiss retail as a high-back armchair with an ottoman made of genuine leather.

Condition:
Authentic vintage condition with clear signs of age- and use-related wear. The light-coloured leather shows patina, discolouration, creases, abrasion and, in places, heavier wear. On the ottoman, a clearly worn or damaged area in the leather is particularly visible in the centre. There are also signs of use on the edges and folds. The chrome-plated tubular steel shows age-appropriate scratches and surface marks, but overall it still has a beautiful shine.
