Spacious vintage leather sofa in the characteristic style of the de Sede DS-68, a distinctive Swiss upholstered furniture design from the 1970s.

The sofa impresses with its low, comfort-oriented silhouette, two generous seat and back cushions, as well as particularly wide, softly padded armrests. The surrounding side construction and substantial upholstery give the piece its typical, simultaneously elegant and relaxed appearance.

Particularly beautiful is the warm cognac- or light-brown leather, which has developed a pronounced natural patina over the years. Creases, slight colour nuances and areas with varying degrees of wear contribute to the sofa’s authentic vintage character. The leather still has a beautiful sheen and feels soft and supple.

The generous seat cushions and voluminous back cushions provide a very comfortable, deep seat. At the same time, the form remains clear and architectural despite the abundant upholstery – a combination for which Swiss leather design of this era is particularly well known.

Condition

Good used vintage condition with clearly visible, age-appropriate patina.

The leather shows creasing, light scratches, pressure and signs of use, as well as partially varying colour intensities. Signs of use are particularly visible on the seating surfaces and on the left section of the back. Some areas are darker or more heavily patinated.

The cushions have the soft and slightly irregular shape typical of a leather sofa that has been used for a long time.
