This lamp is a model from Belux’s Metro series, designed by Swiss designer Hannes Wettstein in the 1980s.

Characteristic of this luminaire is its flexible usability, as it can be used both as a pendant and as a table lamp. The design follows Wettstein’s clear, functional line, emphasising reduced form language and practical handling.

The lamp consists of a round black metal base, a chromed rod and an adjustable reflector in a drop-like shape with a chromed surface and black trim. This combination of black and chrome gives the lamp a timeless, modern expression typical of 1980s design aesthetics.

Condition: The lamp is in good used condition with light age-related signs of wear on the base and the cable. The chrome parts are clean and shiny, the electrics are functional.
