Characteristic table lamp by the Italian maker Tronconi from the 1960s. The design follows the space‑age language typical of that period, with clear geometric volumes and a playful, technically inspired design. At the centre is a spherical lampshade made of red lacquered metal, with a white interior that reflects the light particularly evenly. The sphere is mounted movably on a cylindrical support and can be tilted to direct the light cone individually. The structure is supported by a compact, half‑circle shaped base in red lacquered metal. On the side is an integrated push switch that blends harmoniously into the housing form and underlines the design’s technical‑functional aesthetic. The strong red lacquer combined with the reduced, sculptural form gives the lamp a pronounced graphic character and makes it a typical example of Italian industrial design of the 1960s. The original manufacturer label E. Tronconi – Milano / Italia is on the underside. Condition: Good vintage condition with age‑typical signs of use. Occasional paint chips and minor scratches on the spherical shade as well as light signs of use on the base. The electrics work perfectly. Dimensions: L12 x W12 x H18 cm
