This elegant Thonet coffee table S 325 is a characteristic design by the designer duo Wulf Schneider & Ulrich Böhme and can be clearly classified stylistically in the late 1980s to early 1990s. The design follows a reduced, almost graphic, formal language, in which the construction and the line are deliberately left visible and give the piece its architectural character. The round tabletop is made of lacquered ash wood with a fine, subtly visible grain and, thanks to its clear silhouette, it appears light and modern. Particularly striking is the asymmetrically designed underframe made of chromed steel tube, combined with a dark lacquered carrying element, which gives the table stability while also creating a compelling visual dynamic. This combination of cool metal and restrained surfaces is typical of Thonet designs from this period and underscores the functional, timeless character. The table is ideal as a coffee table or side table and can be integrated in a variety of ways into modern interiors as well as interiors inspired by Mid-Century. The original Thonet label on the underside confirms the origin and makes the piece an authentic representative of late modern German design production.
