This elegant coffee table S 325 from Thonet is a characteristic design by the designer duo Wulf Schneider & Ulrich Böhme and can clearly be classified stylistically in the late 1980s to early 1990s. The design follows a reduced, almost graphic language of forms, where the construction and lines remain deliberately visible and give the piece its architectural expression. The round tabletop is made of lacquered ash wood with fine, subtly visible grain, and it appears light and modern thanks to its clear silhouette. Particularly striking is the asymmetrically designed base made of chrome-plated steel tubing, combined with a dark lacquered carrying element that gives the table stability while also adding an exciting visual dynamic.
