This early edition from the 1970s is one of the best-known and most comprehensive illustrated books about the history and design of the Walt Disney Studios.

The light linen cover with its applied Mickey Mouse figure is particularly attractive: Mickey is depicted as an artist with a paintbrush and paint pot – a decorative detail that gives the closed book a strong collector’s and display character as well.

Inside, the book offers an extensive retrospective on Disney’s development – from the early Mickey Mouse drawings and classic animated films to major live-action productions and theme parks. It contains numerous historical photographs, concept drawings, storyboards, production drawings and large-format colour illustrations.

Among other things, it features motifs and chapters on Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, 101 Dalmatians, Mary Poppins, Swiss Family Robinson and other important Disney productions.

Condition:
The copy is in an authentic used vintage condition. The light linen cover shows age-related discolouration, minor stains and signs of use, particularly on the edges and spine. The Mickey appliqué on the front is present. The pages show a slight age-related toning.
