The Alu 4, designed by Kurt Thut in 1986, perfectly embodies his philosophy of achieving maximum functionality and stability with a minimum of material. The seat and backrest made of colourless anodised cast aluminium are combined with a delicate four-leg frame made of lightweight aluminium profiles. The seat is recessed and provides space for the specially shaped black felt cushion, creating a beautiful contrast. The fine holes also give the chair its characteristic, technically reduced aesthetic. Thanks to its extremely robust and corrosion-resistant materials, this design classic is an elegant companion both indoors and outdoors. 

Condition: The chair is in good used condition. The aluminium has age- and use-related scratches, slight signs of abrasion and smaller pressure marks, particularly along the upper edge of the backrest. The frame is stable and has no visible deformations. The seat and seat cushion are in well-maintained condition. Overall, the chair is technically flawless and has an attractive, authentic patina.
