This rare Papillona floor lamp is a characteristic example of Italian Space-Age design from the 1970s. The sculptural lamp head with the butterfly-like Papillona silhouette combines lacquered metal with a textured glass cover and provides indirect, atmospheric light distribution. The visible red inner rib and the technically inspired construction are typical features of Afra & Tobia Scarpa’s experimental design phase. Embossed maker markings FLOS / Made in Italy on the lamp head confirm original production from that period. A striking design classic with clear collector relevance.
