A slim, turned wooden stem in beech on a three‑legged wooden base carries a short lateral arm from which hangs a conical, pleated fabric shade with a fine speckled pattern.

The light source emits a soft, downward-directed beam, ideal for reading corners or atmospheric accent lighting. The joint at the shade with a small wing screw allows the light cone to be directed. Characteristic is the decorative cable routing: the power cable is neatly guided along the stem with small wooden beads – a charming detail that underlines the handcrafted character.

The combination of the beech three‑leg base, the slim wooden stem and the lateral wooden arm corresponds exactly to Temde’s material language of the late 1950s and 1960s. The typical wooden‑bead cable sleeve is found on several documented Temde luminaires, especially pendant models.

The folded, textile-covered conical shade also matches Temde shades of the period (linen/parchment appearance). Together with the type of joint mounting, this results in a coherent Temde appearance.

Condition: Very well preserved, fully functional vintage condition with a harmonious, age-appropriate patina. Wood with minor signs of use/pressure marks, surface cleaned and cared for. Shade clean and tightly folded, with slight age-related irregularities. Electrical components tested; usual small signs of age on switch, socket and cable without affecting use. Overall ready to use and decorative.
