This striking wall coat rack dates from the late 1960s to the early 1970s and is a characteristic example of the playful, colourful design of that period. The piece consists of two vertically arranged panels with a white-painted wooden frame, combined with decorative ends in dark, wood-grained rosewood. At the centre are textile inserts with a distinctive floral retro pattern in vivid blue and turquoise tones – a typical motif of the late Space Age and Flower Power era. The large, white-painted mushroom-shaped plastic hooks are both functional and decorative, creating an appealing contrast with the graphic fabric covering. The rear of the coat rack is fitted with a simple hardboard panel. Condition: The coat rack is in good, original vintage condition with authentic patina. The textile surface has a small tear in one place, as visible in the detailed photos. The white wooden frame shows signs of use, minor chips and discolouration, while the plastic hooks have slight hairline cracks but remain stable. Overall, a charming and decorative testament to early 1970s design with a highly distinctive character. Dimensions: L113 x W10 x H180 cm
