The piece of furniture shown is a compact bench with integrated storage space, whose design is strongly influenced by the functional industrial design of the 1970s. The bench consists of a simple white carcass, combined with a chrome-plated steel tube frame and red faux-leather upholstery on the seat and backrest. A special feature of this bench is the lift-up seat surface, which provides access to a generous storage compartment inside the carcass. The folding mechanism with metal straps is kept simple but functional, while the underside of the lid is left roughly finished—another indication of the purely functional character of the furniture. The finishing of the chrome frame with plastic glides underlines the practice-oriented design, as typical for institutional furniture or modular system furniture of the late modern era.

Condition: The bench is overall in good condition, with visible signs of age-related wear. The seat upholstery shows slight scuffing at the corners. The chrome frames are stable, showing only minor traces of oxidation and occasional scratches. Overall, the furniture is well cared for and functional, with authentic patina and a clear history of use.
