These two garden chairs feature a classic design typical of park and beer-garden furniture in Central Europe from the early to mid-20th century. The chairs are made from a curved, blue painted tubular steel frame with floral-like lines and integrated armrests. The seat is built from individual red-painted wooden slats, slightly curved and mounted transverse to the seating direction. The subframe is stabilised by a discreet cross brace, which contributes to stability and highlights the formal elegance of the delicate steel structure. Condition: The painted wooden parts show precise workmanship, with the semicircular rounded slats connected to the frame by riveted flat steel strips. This construction was increasingly industrialised from the 1920s, especially for outdoor use where weather resistance and stackability were desirable. A definitive manufacturer attribution is difficult for these pieces without branding or a label, as many small workshops and regional ironmongers produced similar models. Condition: The chairs are in solid, usable condition. The wooden slats appear to have been recently repainted and show a glossy, nearly flawless red tone. The metal frame shows age-related wear, including small paint chips, localized rust spots and patina — especially on the curves of the armrests and joints. Overall, the chairs appear stable and ready for use, offering a charming mix of restored seating and original aged metal frame. Ideal for garden or terrace use, or as decorative indoor pieces.
