This exceptional Swiss sliding-door sideboard from the 1950s/60s impresses with its clear, functional design and the characteristic formal language of Swiss post-war modernism. An original Wohnbedarf AG Basel label on the back documents the distribution of the piece of furniture through the renowned Swiss furnishing house. The straight-lined wooden корпус features a warm, finely grained wood surface and rests on four slim, chrome-plated square-section legs. The three sliding doors in white, blue and black create a distinctive design accent. The long, slightly curved wooden handles contrast with the coloured surfaces and give the front its unmistakable character. Behind the sliding doors are several open compartments with shelves and generous storage space. A special feature of the construction is the asymmetrical top, which extends beyond the корпус on one side and ends flush on the opposite side. This could indicate that the sideboard was originally designed as part of a larger furniture combination or a modular furnishing system. A definite attribution to a particular designer or model has not yet been established. Condition: The sideboard is in good vintage condition with age- and use-related signs of wear. The wooden surfaces show light scratches, discolouration and minor marks. There is also a small burn mark on the surface. The original Wohnbedarf AG Basel label is partially damaged due to age, but still clearly recognisable. Dimensions: L 150 × W 46 × H 56 cm
