Ergonomic rocking chair Balance, designed by Peter Opsvik for the Norwegian manufacturer Stokke. Opsvik is among the most influential designers in the field of ergonomic seating furniture and is also known for the iconic Tripp Trapp chair. The design follows the principle of dynamic sitting and, thanks to its slightly rocking construction, supports the natural movement of the body. The curved lines and the reduced formal language give the chair a clear Scandinavian aesthetic. Made from bent beechwood with a warm, honey-coloured finish. These specimens were originally supplied with removable upholstery, which is no longer present. Ideal for lovers of minimalist design or as a basis for new upholstery. Condition: Good vintage condition with minor signs of age and use. Small scratches and wear on the wood as well as visible holes from the former upholstery. Stable and fully functional.
