Salon table in stained mahogany by Gebrüder Thonet, Vienna, 1900s

This elegant salon table is distinguished by its round, original tabletop with roll guard as well as the decorative bentwood braces and artistic appliqués with volutes on the three-sided base. Handcrafted from bentwood, beech and stained mahogany, the piece is hand‑polished with shellac and embodies the high craftsmanship of Gebrüder Thonet around 1900.

A particular highlight is the original textile inset of the tabletop, visible in the photos. The table is documented in the bibliography „Illustrierter Katalog von Michael Thonet, Wien 1904, Seite 70, Lesetisch Nr. 1“ and is regarded as an original vintage piece from the manufactory period.
