Characterful vintage dining table made of solid pine, dating from the 1970s. The table combines Scandinavian-influenced mid-century design with a bold, almost brutalist formal language and is especially appealing for the warm presence of the wood, which has a natural, untreated appearance. The round tabletop is made from solid pine boards and features a distinctive, lively grain with the knot patterns typical of pine. The softly rounded table edge visually reduces the heaviness of the solid material and creates a beautiful contrast with the robust construction of the base. Two broad side supports with widely extending, organically rounded feet are connected by a solid crossbar, giving the table its characteristic silhouette. The integrated extension function is particularly practical. The tabletop can be pulled apart and significantly enlarged with the extension leaves. The compact round table thus transforms into a generous, elongated dining table and provides additional space for guests when needed. The construction remains harmonious and balanced even when extended. The combination of solid pine, visible construction and bold curves is typical of Scandinavian-influenced furniture design from the 1970s. A functional yet expressive dining table that harmonises particularly well with mid-century, brutalist and modern interiors. Condition: Good vintage condition with age-related signs of use. The pine wood shows a naturally developed patina as well as minor scratches, abrasions and signs of use in places. These emphasise the table’s authentic vintage character. The extension function is present. Dimensions: L135 x W93 x H75 cm Extended: L189 x W93 x H75 cm
