Clear in form, functional in expression, and designed with timeless restraint—this round table was created by Gerd Lange for Thonet and is exemplary of the matter-of-fact design attitude of the late modern era. The generous tabletop with Resopal coating and a diameter of 128 cm offers plenty of space and looks particularly elegant and well-balanced thanks to the light surface combined with the black edge. The top is supported by a central pedestal foot made of black-coated metal that transitions into a striking disc base. Especially characteristic is the textured surface on the foot: fine, knob-like protrusions not only give the table a graphic depth, but also provide a surprising, tactile detail—almost like a subtle foot massage when touched. A functional as well as playful element that subtly enhances the design.
