The DS-2011 model by de Sede was designed by de Sede’s in-house design team and has been part of the Swiss manufacturer’s collection since 1983. It is characterised by the combination of a compact, almost floating-looking construction and generously upholstered seating surfaces. De Sede itself describes the series as an iconic design that has stood for understated presence and comfortable elegance since 1983. 

The sofa is fully upholstered in red leather. Particularly striking are the curved armrests extending far outwards, with upholstery that flows seamlessly over the side panels. Together with the two separate seat and back cushions, they create the soft yet clearly structured silhouette characteristic of the DS-2011. The low seating surface, raised above the floor, further enhances the floating impression.

The upholstery of the DS-2011 series consists of several coordinated foam layers of varying firmness, creating a combination of supportive and soft cushioning. The seat and armrest cushions also feature additional upholstery layers. 

Condition: The sofa is in good vintage condition, with age- and usage-related signs of wear. The red leather shows a natural patina, slight creasing and areas of colour and usage marks, particularly on the seating surfaces and armrests. These are clearly visible in the detailed photographs. Overall, the sofa presents in a well-maintained and authentic original condition.
