Authentic surveying or measuring instrument tripod from the 1940s with a three-legged construction made of solid oak and metal fittings. The solid workmanship as well as the tapering metal feet indicate its original use in surveying or in the military field, where maximum stability and precision were required.

The warm patina of the wood and the age-oxidised metal parts give the tripod a distinctive technical and industrial character.
