This striking vintage armchair probably dates from the 1950s to the early 1960s and can be attributed to Mid-Century design. Its organically curved form with the wide backrest and raised side armrests gives the armchair a distinctive, sculptural silhouette.

The seat, backrest and armrests are upholstered in a finely textured light grey fabric. A particular contrast is created by the rear of the seat shell, which is finished with a red covering and adds a characteristic colour accent to the otherwise restrained design.

The armchair is supported by four slender, slightly splayed legs in a dark finish. Brass-coloured metal caps on the feet add elegant accents and emphasise the typical formal language of Mid-Century design.

The generous, softly padded seat shell and curved armrests create an inviting look. With its striking shape, the armchair is ideal as a lounge chair, reading chair or standalone statement piece in the living area.
