The object shown is an exceptional three-arm floor lamp from the 1960s that can be assigned to the Italian Mid-Century style. Lumenform was an Italian manufacturer that produced lighting in the 1950s and 60s in the style of Gino Sarfatti and Angelo Lelli – sometimes independently, sometimes inspired by the works of these famous designers. The lamp consists of three slender metal rods that cross over each other, painted black in the lower section and finished with brass sleeves. These are anchored in a round black base with inlaid decorative brass triangles, giving the lamp an additional graphic accent. Condition: The lamp’s condition is good for its age, with visible signs of use. There are paint chips on the shades, especially on the red-black one. The black paint on the lower rods shows small scratches and patina. The brass parts are partially oxidised, which nonetheless gives the piece an authentic vintage character. The wiring has been completely replaced, so all three sockets work perfectly. Overall it is a decorative, high-quality original with authentic patina and functional substance.
