Characterful Mid-Century television cabinet from the former Czechoslovakia, made in the 1960s. The original manufacturer’s label on the back explicitly describes the piece as “Skrinka pod televízor”, meaning a cabinet or base unit for a television.

The piece has an elegant period-typical design with slightly splayed legs, rounded sides and a warm, honey-coloured high-gloss wooden surface. Particularly distinctive are the curved wooden handles and softly rounded edges, which give the compact body a very harmonious, almost sculptural appearance.

The front is functionally divided: on the left is a larger lockable compartment, while on the right there is a smaller drawer above another compartment. Practical storage surfaces are available inside. The raised, rounded side elements and the elegant lower structure with its angled feet give the piece a clear 1950s/1960s character.

Condition: Good used vintage condition with age- and usage-related signs. The surface and edges show minor scratches, rubbing and occasional pressure marks. The high-gloss finish displays a beautiful, authentic patina. The construction and doors are overall solid and well maintained.
