Characteristic Danish mid-century dining table from the 1960s, designed by Rainer Daumiller and manufactured by Vamdrup Stolefabrik in Denmark. The table is made entirely of solid pine and combines a robust construction with the warm and natural formal language of Scandinavian design. The particularly striking feature is the round, substantial tabletop with a softly rounded edge. The clearly visible grain and natural colour variations of the pine give the surface a lively and individual character. The tabletop is supported by a distinctive, almost sculptural frame made of four cylindrical solid-wood legs. At floor level, these transition into broad, slightly curved feet, echoing the soft curves of the tabletop. A special feature is the extendable construction. The tabletop can be divided in the centre and extended using an integrated rail system. With the help of additional extension leaves, the compact round table becomes a generous oval dining table and can therefore be adapted flexibly to different situations and numbers of people. The design deliberately places the natural appearance of the material in the foreground. The grain and irregularities are not concealed, but are part of the design. Together with the rounded forms, this creates an expressive piece of furniture that combines Scandinavian clarity, functionality and a nature-connected warmth. Condition: Good vintage condition with signs of use. The pine wood shows natural age-related changes as well as light signs of use and colour variations. Dimensions: L119/168.5/218 x W119 x H73.5
