Timeless chair from the mid-20th century with clear, functional lines and solid craftsmanship. The chairs are made of solid beechwood and display a warm, honey-coloured patina that has gained depth over the years. Characteristic is the slightly backward-tilted backrest with three vertical spindles, giving the design an elegant lightness while ensuring comfortable seating. The construction is simple and robust, with slightly tapered legs and neatly crafted joints. The seats are made of solid wood and show a beautiful, naturally aged surface with visible grain. The finely proportioned silhouette blends harmoniously into both classic and modern interiors. A special detail is the original metal plaque on the underside embossed with “Direction der eidg. Bauten”, indicating use in the public sector – for example in schools or administrative buildings. Such pieces combine functional design with authentic Swiss history.
