Decorative ceramic bowl with a classic hand-painted design in deep blue, combined with floral and geometric elements in green, red and white. The workmanship strongly resembles traditional Eastern European, or Hungarian, folk art ceramics, as produced in the 1960s–1980s. The slightly conical shape with a wide rim underlines the functional character, while the finely worked pattern gives the bowl a strong visual presence. Glazed and richly decorated on the inside, kept in warm terracotta on the outside, resulting in a beautiful contrast between the rustic base and the detailed top. Stamped on the back, indicating a handmade or small-batch production.

Condition: Age-related signs of use, in particular smaller chips in the glaze on the rim as well as light scratches and wear inside, overall however stable and very nicely preserved from a decorative point of view.
