Ingmar Relling “Flex” lounge chair with footstool for Westnofa, Norway, 1960s Iconic Scandinavian lounge chair with matching footstool, designed by Ingmar Relling for the Norwegian manufacturer Westnofa in the 1960s. The “Flex” model impresses with its light, foldable construction made from laminated wood and combines exceptional seating comfort with functional design. The leather seat pads, suspended with a cantilever effect, fit comfortably against the body and, together with the ergonomically inclined backrest, provide a relaxed seating experience. The cognac-coloured leather with its horizontal stitching blends perfectly with the dark-stained wooden frame and gives the ensemble a warm, timeless look. The matching footstool complements the armchair ideally and makes the set the perfect companion for a living room or reading room. The model is considered one of Ingmar Relling’s characteristic designs and is distinguished by its refined, foldable construction as well as its high seating comfort. Condition: The armchair and footstool are in good vintage condition with age-related signs of use. The leather has a beautiful patina with light creases and hardly any signs of wear. The wooden frame is well preserved and the upholstery on the underside is in functional condition.
