Expressive Ikora vase by Karl Wiedmann for WMF from the 1930s, with a distinctive organic shape and intricately crafted glass. The softly curved silhouette, with a flared neck and rounded body, gives the vase an elegant presence. What stands out most is the lively Ikora structure with finely branched white inclusions, as well as cloud-like colour gradients in rosé, ruby and Bordeaux tones. The mouth-blown glass creates an exceptional sense of depth with changing reflections, which come across differently depending on the angle of the light. The combination of expressionist colour design and craftsmanship precision makes this vase an impressive example of German glass design from the Art Deco period.
