Minimalist design stool Benjamin, designed by Lisa Norinder for IKEA in the late 1990s. A successful example of Scandinavian design, with functionality and a clear, distinct design language at the centre. Made from laminated veneer lumber (birch) with a transparent lacquer finish, the stool impresses with its soft, continuous line. The side cut-outs are not only a striking design detail, but also serve as practical handles for easy moving. Thanks to its compact size, it can be used in many ways: as a seat, side table, bedside table, or decorative element. In addition, multiple pieces can be stacked into each other to save space – ideal for flexible living or working areas. The model is no longer produced and is growing in popularity as a characteristic design piece from the 1990s.
