Expressive Italian ceiling light from the 1970s, designed by Giovanni Offredi for MC Selvini. The light combines a generously sized shade made of translucent fiberglass with a finely crafted wooden construction. The surrounding wooden frame as well as the radially arranged wooden brace give the object a warm, organic look and create an exciting contrast to the slightly textured, light-permeable surface of the fiberglass. Typical of the Italian design of this period, the lamp combines sculptural presence with functional light effect and produces a pleasantly diffuse, atmospheric light. Condition: Good vintage condition with only very light signs of age-related wear. Light patina on the wood as well as fine marks on the fiberglass surface; overall well maintained and fully functional.
