This compact electric appliance shows a typically functional yet charming Mid-Century design. The cube-shaped housing is made of lacquered metal in a warm, slightly coppery tone, giving the object a pleasant, homely presence. The front is dominated by a fine metal grille behind which the heating element and the fan are located — a clear indication that it is a space heater, or a radiant heater with fan function. On the side there is a rotary control knob to adjust the intensity, while top-mounted toggle switches allow for different operating levels. The slightly tilted position on the stable wire stand ensures that the heat is released directly into the room. The chrome-plated stand provides a nice contrast to the coloured housing and gives the unit a light, almost floating effect.
