Glasi Hergiswil tealight holder, Switzerland, 1960s/70s Price: 63,- CHF Organically shaped tealight holder made of glass by Glasi Hergiswil. The free, softly flowing form with an asymmetrically wavy rim gives the object a sculptural and almost fluid appearance. Characteristic are the slightly structured surface as well as the solid glass wall, which reflects the candlelight atmospherically and highlights the high-quality craftsmanship of the long-established Swiss glass manufactory. With its reduced yet expressive language of form, the piece is suitable both as a functional tealight holder and as a decorative glass object in a mid-century or studio glass context.
