Characteristic Swiss garden table by BIGLA Sissach with a foldable round tabletop and a functionalist industrial character. The construction consists of a galvanised steel frame with a four-armed cross base, as well as a metal plate painted in strong sky blue on both sides, with a red underside. Particularly striking is the technical folding mechanism, which allows the tabletop to be positioned vertically and the table to be stored compactly. The reduced formal language and the robust choice of materials are exemplary of practical Swiss garden furniture design from the 1960s and 1970s. Thanks to the intense colour scheme, the piece also has an almost playful pop-art feel and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The original manufacturer label Sissach on the underside refers to BIGLA’s long-standing Swiss production, whose garden furniture is still valued today for its durability and clear design.

Condition: Good vintage condition with age-related signs of use, scratches, paint chipping, and visible patina on the table edge and frame surfaces.
