Elegant vintage vase from Finnish glass production of the 1970s, made by the traditional glassworks Riihimäen Lasi, which later became part of Iittala. The vase is distinguished by its clear, cylindrical form resting on a solid, transparent glass foot. The upper body is made of deep violet-coloured glass that shifts between dark aubergine and transparent purple depending on the light, giving the vase a special depth.

The heavy, clear glass foot forms a beautiful contrast to the coloured glass cylinder and at the same time provides a stable, high-quality impression. The reduced, Scandinavian design language is typical of Finnish glass design in the 1960s and 1970s and combines functionality with a timeless decorative effect. The vase is suitable for single flowers as well as a small decorative object.

Condition: Vintage condition with age-appropriate signs of use. Occasional fine scratches in the glass and a small chip on the upper rim. Overall nevertheless well preserved and stable.
