Striking Italian ceiling light from the 1970s, designed by Giovanni Offredi for MC Selvini. The light combines a generously sized shade made of translucent fibreglass with a finely crafted wooden structure. The surrounding wooden frame and the radially arranged wooden strut give the object a warm, organic appearance and create an interesting contrast with the slightly textured, light-transmitting surface of the fibreglass. Typical of Italian design from this period, the light combines a sculptural presence with functional lighting and creates a pleasantly diffuse, atmospheric light. Condition: Good vintage condition with only very slight age-related signs of wear. Light patina on the wood as well as fine marks on the fibreglass surface; overall well maintained and fully functional.
