The exceptional Tensegrity 713 coffee table, designed by Theodore Waddell for Cassina in 1973, is based on the so-called tensegrity principle: Chromed steel tubes and fine steel cables stabilise each other through an interplay of compression and tension. This creates the characteristic open construction, in which the base appears to almost float.

A round clear glass top with a polished edge rests on the frame.

The combination of glossy chrome, delicate metal cables and transparent glass gives the table a particularly light yet architectural appearance.

Thanks to its exceptional construction, the table is not only a functional piece of furniture, but also a striking design object from the 1970s.

Condition: The glass top has light scratches. The chromed frame also shows slight signs of wear. The cables and construction are intact.
