The solid wood, substantial round tabletop and distinctive ribbed base give this table a warm, sculptural presence in the style of 1970s Scandinavian Brutalism.

The elaborately constructed extension mechanism is particularly interesting: when closed, the table is compact and round. The tabletop can be pulled apart using the integrated metal rail system, while the central base also separates at the same time. This creates two separate, stable T-shaped supports.

The table comes with two separate extension leaves. It can therefore be used in several sizes as required – from a cosy round dining table to a spacious table for family and guests. The extension leaves can be stored separately when not in use.

A particularly beautiful detail is the architecturally designed base with a vertical slat or groove structure. The softly rounded edges of the tabletop and base elements reduce the visual weight of the solid piece and emphasise the organic character of the design.

The tabletop is made of glued solid-wood slats with lively natural grain, numerous knots and a warm honey-coloured tone. The underside features sturdy metal rails and tension fasteners for securing the individual tabletop elements.

Condition: good used vintage condition with age- and use-related signs. The wooden surface shows a beautiful naturally developed patina as well as a few minor isolated signs of use. The construction, extension mechanism and extension leaves appear complete and stable.
